This image was taken in mid July 2012 in Bandon, Oregon. We were travelling up the west coast of the US from San Francisco to Seattle and stopping off along the way to see the different views and National Parks. We were staying at the Sunset Motel as it was nicely located and the view from the balcony was straight out on the ocean.
The above image was shot on the first day that we got there – we headed out for a walk along the beach and it really did go on for miles. It was great to just kick off the shoes and walk along barefoot in the sand. The views were amazing and as you can see from the image, the ocean has eroded a lot of the rocks away over the years.
This image as taken on a full frame camera shot at 24mm and under exposed by half a stop – there was also a circular polarised on the lens at the time of the shot. The image was taken handheld and processed afterwards in Photoshop.
